So, school is over, and I have one more semester left. I'll be graduating in December this year. It makes me sad because I don't want to leave. Since I've gotten home, I been on a roll getting things done. I finished building my new computer, I've been building and customizing some workout equipment for myself, and I'm in the process of setting up my work schedule and my training schedule. I should be getting another internet connection at home, so I'll be able to get online from my own computer. Once I get that done, I want to get IM's from my friends, so it will be easier for us to keep in touch.

I'm back

School's over. Actually, it was over about two weeks ago. I'm feeling much better since my last entry. I got into the classes I wanted for next year, and I got to hang out with a bunch of my friends before I went home, so everything worked out okay. I got my old job back, I'm learning Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling with a local wrestling club for free, and I'm trying to get a boxing match, so I won't be bored anytime soon. I come to the city on Thursdays, and sometimes Fridays and Mondays, so if anyone wants see me, send me a message. Joy, I'll give you a call on Saturday or Sunday.

300

Posted on 2007.03.17 at 23:31
I saw 300 today. It wasn't a bad movie. The visuals were absolutely amazing, but the story and the characters were kind of weak. The thing that bothered me was the way the movie portrayed the Persians. No, I don't think the movie or the comic had any political overtones, but I didn't like how the Persians were portrayed. I actually thought the monsters in their ranks, the masked soldiers, and the giant animals were cool. A lot cooler than the bland Spartans. Still, I didn't how they were shown as demonic in the movie. And all the talk about freedom and slavery...uh, the Spartans owned slaves too, you know. I don't know. I enjoyed the movie experience but I felt bothered while watching it.

Battle Lust

The one thing I hate the most about being up here at school it that there doesn't seem to be anywhere to train. I miss kickboxing something terrible. I'm naturally driven to do five things: Sleep, feed, breathe, have sex, and hit things. As of right now, I'm only getting three out of the five. That isn't healthy!

If this keeps up, I'm going to have to resort to beating up frat boys in bar parking lots.

Mauricio Shogun

You scored 48% Sprawl n Brawl, 32% Lock n Choke, 58% Ground n Pound, and 25% Lay n Pray!

You are Shogun and your style is very complete. You can play the striking game as well as the ground game, by pounding or submitting your opponent. And you usually don't lay in your opponents guard to recover, but keep going.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

My surgery and recovery from it are over, and it's back to work and boxing tomorrow. I don't really want to go back to work, but it will nice to be making money again. Only a month left until I start at my new school.

Oh, and Happy Birthday to me! I'm 22 years old today.

I had my surgery last Wednesday, and I'm feeling a lot better. I'll be having the packing and splints removed from my nose on Monday. I'm looking to being able to use my main breathing orifice again.

I'm having surgery on Wednesday

I took a blow to the nose a few days ago, and developed a hematoma inside that is blocking the airway. The specialist I saw insisted I have a broken nose, but it looks normal, it doesn't hurt at all, and the doctor who looked at the X-rays said there was no visible fracture. But broken or not, hematomas can be quite serious if not treated, so I'll be having nasal surgery this Wednesday to remove it. Wish me luck.

10 reasons Gay Marriage is wrong

1. Being gay is not natural. And as you know Americans have always rejected unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior.
People may even wish to marry their pets because, as you know, a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4. Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed. The sanctity of Britany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6. Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7. Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only
raise straight children.

8. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the
values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in North America.

9. Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

Hi, everybody! I got back from Anime North two days ago, and I had a great time. The convention itself wasn't as good as last year, but the trip was more fun, and Totally Lame Anime was awesome (Dracula, stripped of his vampire powers, lost in NYC with no money, mugs a guy and eats a cheeseburger = Priceless.) We went to Niagara Falls on the way home, which was fun, and I ended up falling asleep in a hot girl's arms the second night. All in all, it was a great trip and was well worth the money.

First update in a while

Posted on 2006.04.29 at 21:13
I'm happy because I got my old summer job at Six Flags back. I get vouchers, so if anyone is interested in going this summer, let me know.

I just joined the new Game Politics forums. I been reading GP for a while, and it's nice that they have foums again. Here are the links in case anyone's interested:

I need to go work on my final project for scriptwriting. I've got a pretty good psychological horror story going, and I'll show you guys the finished product if you wish.

Well, that's all that's going on with me right now. Later.

I was saying before how much liked my new gym, right? Well, I do but there's one thing that really bothers me. To all senior citizens who work out, I think it's great that you're keeping in shape. I really do.

But, please, for the love of everything, put some fucking clothes on!

When I get out of the shower, the first thing I do is dry off and get dressed. These guys just stand around naked and loitering! And why, why, why did he have to set his stuff down right in front of me? I sitting there, tying my wrestling shoes and I look to see a 78 year-old ass-crack two feet from my face!

What the fuck is wrong with these people?!

I love my new fighting gym. I stayed for two kickboxing classes in a row today, and my knuckles feel like hamburger, but I still love it. Maybe I just need to chill with hitting the bags so hard! I can't wait until they start letting me come to the mixed martial arts classes and the advanced grappling classes.

I drew pictures for the first time in a long time today, and I haven't lost a step. I think I've actually gotten better! I drew potraits and action shots of some of the characters in Scatter Brain, and I have good feelings about how this comic is going to turn out.

I need to go ice my knuckles now.
